Donald Wexler

F.A.I.A

1926 -

Born in South Dakota in 1926, raised in Minneapolis. After serving in WW II, he studied at the University of Minnesota and graduated there in 1950. He worked for famed modern architect Richard Neutra briefly in Los Angeles, then went to Palm Springs to work with William Cody on the Tamarisk Country Club in 1952. That same year, he joined up with architect Richard Harrison and created the firm of Wexler & Harrison where for the next nine years, they created some of the most notable and enduring homes and civic buildings in the Palm Springs area. In 1961, Wexler and Harrison parted ways. Two years later, in 1963, Wexler started Donald A. Wexler Associates and continued to design groundbreaking architectural designs. In 2000, Wexler sold his firm to a architectural concern in LA. He still resides in Palm Springs.
